How to Transform Your Home From Summer to Fall

Wondering how to transform your home from summer to fall? You’ve come to the right place!

The summer months are full of bright hues, constant company, and more time spent with the family. And once fall rolls around, gone are the summer soirees and in come the pumpkin candles and holidays. So, if you’re looking for ways to transform your home from summer to fall, just keep reading for some of my tips and tricks!

Add Cozier Fabrics

While summertime is full of hot days and ice cream, fall, on the other hand, means pumpkin-spiced lattes and snuggles by the fire. This is why it’s a great idea to swap out your fabrics for something cozier! Instead of light bedding, opt for something heavier, like our Logan Duvet. You can also switch out the decorative pillowcases you may have around the house. And if you’re not sure where to begin, take a look at our Avant Pillow, Arriere Pillow, Mandalay Pillow, Margaret Pillow, and Tallulah Pillow. Lastly, you can’t forget about the linens in your kitchen, from table settings to napkins!

Add Natural Elements and Earthy Tones

Another easy way to transform your home from summer to fall is by adding natural elements and earthy tones. For example, instead of man-made items, go for things that come straight from the earth, like wood or even fruits. Personally, I just adore placing bowls of seasonal fruit (like apples and pears) on the kitchen island! And if you’re not sure what qualifies as an earthy tone, stick with burgundy, rust, and brown. Our Billie Vase Set would look amazing and could hold your favorite fresh or faux florals!

Add Layered and Textured Decor

Last but not least, another easy way to transform your home from summer to fall is by adding layered and textured decor. Not only will this elevate your living space, but it will also bring in some nice dimensions. One fun way to do this is by layering your rugs—I know it sounds strange, but trust me when I say the end result will look fabulous. I also love adding some chunky knit blankets and throws around the home—especially on top of a couch or draped over an accent chair. Our Dehmelt Throw is a great option for the fall! You can also switch out your tablescape placemats and even bundle your candles in assorted heights and sizes. There’s just so much that you can do!
