Inspired by the coast, in which this home resides, our team pulled coastal elements with a natural design aesthetic to resemble a nordic feel. As the childhood home of our dear client, we designed this project with the intention of keeping the nostalgia while incorporating a fresh, new design. A neutral palette with bold moments and layers of texture gives this home unique touches at every turn. While most of the home got a major overhaul, we kept the original fireplace and created a functional open floor plan for entertaining. With our clients’ young children creating new memories in this home, we created a space that is both a sanctuary for the parents and a comfortable place for their children to grow up. After a couple of years in the making, we welcomed their family back to their roots.
