Lindye’s Favorite Fall 2021 Home Trends

What are your favorite fall 2021 home trends?

If you scroll through Pinterest or Instagram, I’m willing to bet you’ll see tons of chunky knits, warm tones, and vintage vibes—aka, all of my favorite things! The best fall 2021 home trends are ones that aren’t too “trendy” but are classic and will look good ten years from now.  In the mood to incorporate some fall 2021 trends into your home?  Keep scrolling for the top fall 2021 home trends that I’m loving and shop my favorite fall pieces to bring the autumn ambience into your space!

Earthy and Artisan Elements

This fall, instead of heading to Target or Home Goods for your decor, opt for items that look or are unique! To accomplish this, go to more curated places like our shop, a seller on Etsy, or even an antique shop. When I think of fall 2021 trends, my mind goes to decor that looks earthy and natural. Whether this is through a handmade tray you found at the Farmer’s Market or a pillow cover that simply reminds you of fall, you’re on track with the trend!

Velvet and Vintage Fabrics

If you’ve been a reader of this blog for a while, you know how much I love switching up textiles. And for the fall, I definitely plan on turning to velvet and vintage fabrics, like our Vintage Chaparral Rug! If you feel like your home could use some pizzaz, you’re probably in need of some varying textures and fabrics. Even if it’s something as small as a table cloth, napkin, or throw pillow, velvet and vintage fabrics will do the trick this fall. Just imagine how amazing your tablescape will look for Thanksgiving!

Floral With Warm and Rich Tones

When it comes to the color palette for fall 2021 home trends, hues like burgundy, rust, and brown are going to be very popular… especially when it comes to florals. Instead of picking up some fresh blooms that are summery with shades of pinks and whites, this fall it’s all about a different aesthetic! I’m absolutely obsessed with how burgundy, rust, and brown all look together, especially in a vase. If you’re anything like me and like to have fresh flowers around all of the time, trust me when I say this is the color palette you’re going to want to stick to!

Fall Leaves and Outdoor Elements

Just as florals with warm and rich tones will be popular for fall 2021 home trends, so too will other outdoor elements. Think fall leaves, twigs, and more! With the changing of seasons comes that changing of leaves, so think more in terms of reds, yellows, and browns. Of course, throw in some green as well, but make the primary focus on something else. I love the idea of using pine cones as a table setting during the holidays or even placing them in a bowl as a centerpiece.

Patina, Woods, and Metals

If you’re not sure which textures or materials to choose from for the fall, think vintage. I believe we’ll be seeing tons of patina, woods, and mixed metals this season. So whether you opt for a vintage bronze dish, a new wooden bowl (like our Heyes Bowl) or side table, or even some gold cutlery for your tablescape, they’re all fabulous ideas! And for this, look at places like antique stores for patina-esque objects or our site for some beautiful wooden options!

Candles and Lanterns

You know how the kids call Halloween spooky season? I’m all for it as long as I get to whip out as many candles and lanterns as possible to set the mood! For the fall, I’m forecasting that candles (and lanterns, especially) are going to be huge. There are so many incredible options to choose from that can really bring the fall festivities to life. Have a fireplace you never use? Fill it with a bunch of candles! Have a walkway that needs more character? Place a row of lanterns leading up to the door! Go to Pinterest for some inspo—you won’t be disappointed.

Chunky Knits and Extra Layers

Fall 2021 home trends remind me a lot of the fashion we’ll see this season, especially in terms of knit styles. For the home, opt for super chunky knits in warmer hues like burnt orange. I love the idea of finding a chunky knit blanket like our Finn Throw and throwing it on the couch, along with tons of pillows. Honestly, the more, the merrier, when it comes to layering this fall! So whether it’s the blankets you’re layering or the placemat on your tablescape, you truly can’t go wrong.
