A Scandinavian Entryway That Makes A Statement

First impressions are everything! An entryway truly sets the tone for the entire home and is the first place loved ones and guests see when they arrive. Make it count! Today, we are showing you an entryway that is the perfect “welcome” with just the right amount of Scandinavian spirit!

We have 5 major tips for an entryway that makes a statement! Let’s dive right into what those are…

1. Roll out a vintage rug!

This is the perfect way to showcase all of the charm, color, and depth for what’s to come. A runner in an entryway gives you that elongated look and creates an inviting transition into the next room while completing the space with its effortless tone and texture.

2. Place a couple pretty and practical pieces of furniture along the wall.

A bench is a place to put your shoes on and wait for the kids to grab a jacket. A console allows for storage, a catch all for lost keys, and a place for your TJ floral run! You really can’t go wrong. We had room for both in this long entryway!

3. Add wall decor!

In this case, we placed an oversized neutral landscape over the bench to ground the space and create some nice contrast and interest. Over the console, we decided to let all the natural light shine through a vertical mirror with black hardware for some added drama. I’m obsessed!

4. Textiles!

If you are going with a bench or seating vignette in your entryway, make it a statement! Use a unique bench and make sure it’s not too deep so it doesn’t impede on the walkway. Add textiles for extra texture and a pop of color to really make this space feel like home. Trust me, your guests (or you) won’t want to leave!

5. Add those “little somethings”.

This will create a touch of personality and give that homey feeling throughout the entryway. The Lindye Galloway Shop launching this summer will be the perfect place to collect these bespoke or personally curated items!
